Jaime Laredo returns (2014)

The return of Bolivian-born violinist Jaime Laredo to Bolivia for the first time in decades, marked a high point in our cultural history. It was also the first time that Jaime – who had left his native land at age six to pursue his musical studies in the United States – had come with the specific purpose of working with young Bolivian talents. These encounters and the resulting performances, involving several generations of Bolivian musicians, were transformative for all involved.
